Not all fanfiction is textual based. Since the advent of YouTube and other video sharing sites, fans have been creating both long and short form video.Some are parodies or tributes, others are new episodes or entire new series based on the original. In the case of Star Trek, even some of the original actors and script writers have signed on to these fan created projects.
