You can use this resource to find characters by gender and age in plays that are specifically in the Helmke Library collection.
Books of monologues can be very helpful but there are some things to keep in mind when using these sources:
1. You may be required by your instructor to read the entire play. You will still have to use the library's catalog or one of the databases to find the full text of the play that the monologue is taken from.
2. Not all of the monologues in these collections come from full length plays. Some are written only as monologues.
