What is a primary source?

A primary source is an original document; in literary studies the works of the authors themselves, their poems, novels, short stories, etc. are considered primary documents, but their other writings too, such as letters and diaries are also considered primary sources.

Primary Sources

These sources represent a selection of our library's holdings of primary source collections related to literature. More primary sources are available by searching the library's catalog.
