The scite plugin allows you to easily see if a scientific article has been supported or received contrasting evidence anywhere you’re reading it online.

Features

Highlight text and right click to ask the scite Assistant about it.
Display scite citation counts on the right side of the screen when you're reading a scholarly paper.
Display scite citation counts when you're searching other databases, like Google Scholar and Scopus.

How to Install scite's Browser Plug-in
Click install extension on Scite's website https://scite.ai or look it up in the Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari extension/addon store.

Zotero Plug-in

scite's Zotero plug-in currently lets you do two main things:

1. See classification tallies for each paper based on scite's Smart Citation data

2. Go to the scite report page by right clicking on an article and selecting "view scite report."

To install a plugin in Zotero, download its .xpi file to your computer. Then, in Zotero, click “Tools → Add-Ons”, then drag the .xpi for the plugin onto the Add-Ons window that opens.
