Laboratory for Data Science Library Program

The The Laboratory of Data Science at Purdue University Fort Wayne is a new initiative designed to provide big data expertise in the metropolitan area of Fort Wayne and increase data science opportunities for student and local community engagement in Northeastern Indiana. LDS promotes collegiality, curiosity, strives for positive change and to advance scientific knowledge, and addresses complex questions through Inclusive Excellence. LDS focuses on student learning opportunities, high quality and innovative research, visiting programs, community programs, and engagement with the final goal of contributing to social good and solving real-word problems by means of data science and a fruitful interaction among academia, government, and industry. In the Data Science for Library Program, LDS collaborates with Helmke Library and the data science activities of other libraries in the regional area of Fort Wayne.
